Definitions

1. Referring User

   • You are a referring user if you send the Bright referral link to any of your friends or family and help them sign up in the  Bright app with their phone number.
2. Referred User

   • You are a referred user if you receive the referral link from any of your friends and have signed up with your phone number in the Bright app.
3. Bright Stash

   • This is where your referral rewards are deposited at Bright. It's also where your money is stored before we use it to make card payments or build your Bright savings.
4. Referral Portal

   • A place in the Bright app where referring users can check the referral status of their referred users, their reward eligibility as per this policy, and their progress towards the maximum limit on rewards earned in a calendar month.

How does the Bright Referral program work?

1. Sign up for an account and a paid membership to Bright using the app.
2. Use the referral portal to generate and share an invitation link.
3. Send the link to any number of friends and family, or share it online. We recommend you only share it with individuals who you think could benefit from Bright’s products and are willing to give it a real chance.
4. Once a friend signs up for a paid membership and contributes at least $10 towards financial goals, both of you will receive a $25 reward.

How does reward eligibility work?

1. You must have an active subscription to Bright that you have paid for and you have been with Bright on a paid membership for at least 30 days. Being on a free trial is not sufficient.
2. You should have used the platform to make at least $10 worth of successful transactions towards any of the financial products that Bright provides. Those include, but are not limited to:

   • Credit card payments
   • Bright Balance Transfer
   • Bright Credit Builder (Only Repayment)
3. You’ll receive the reward corresponding to your referral only if the referred user completes their eligibility criteria.
4. You’ll be eligible to receive a maximum of 5 referral rewards per month for referring other people. If more than 5 referred users satisfy the eligibility criteria, they will not be considered for rewards in the future. 
5. If you unsubscribe or if your subscription payment is past due, your referral rewards will be in pending status until you reactivate or re-subscribe your Bright account. These pending rewards are still subject to a maximum of 5 referral rewards in whatever month your Bright subscription is reactivated. 
6. You can start inviting as early as you sign up, however your referral rewards will be granted to you once you fulfill the above requirements.

3. Your referral reward is unaffected by the eligibility of your referring user.
4. If you unsubscribe from a paid membership before you receive your referral reward, you will be ineligible for the reward.

Things to Keep in Mind

1. No spam - You agree that you will not “spam” anyone with Referrals to join Bright either by mass emailing, use of automated systems, bots or automatic dialers, and to not post Referral links on websites or event or venue pages without express consent from the owner. You agree to not engage in any device or scheme that results in “spam.”
2. No misrepresentations - You agree that you will not attempt to mislead anyone in connection with the Referral Program. This includes, but is not limited to, creating fake accounts, profiles, links or messages.
3. No prohibited content - You agree that you will not use any defamatory, offensive, abusive or obscene content in connection with Bright. This includes, but is not limited to, content that violates someone else’s privacy or harassing content.
4. No fraudulent activity - You agree not to defraud or abuse, or attempt to defraud or abuse, anyone in connection with the Referral Program. You agree to not engage in any activity that may be fraudulent, deceptive or manipulative. You agree to not create any duplicate accounts with Bright.
5. No misuse of Bright’s content - You agree to not sell Bright Referral links or create websites, email addresses or social media with Bright’s name, images or content without Bright’s express consent. Bright’s content is not intended for distribution to, or use by, any person or entity in any jurisdiction where such distribution or use would be contrary to law or regulation or which would subject Bright or any of Bright’s products or services to any authorization, registration, licensing or notification requirements within any jurisdictions outside those jurisdictions in which Bright and its affiliates are licensed to operate.
